Csaba Mészáros, electrical engineer, and founder, owner and president of the internationally acclaimed evopro group has received the Dénes Gábor Award.

Csaba Mészáros was recognized primarily for his innovative organizational activities that created jobs in Hungarian R&D and built out manufacturing capacity; and for founding the evopro group which has been successful in many countries. He was also honored for his guiding work on the electric drive Modulo bus family and its charging infrastructure, and for the development of a railway diagnostic system.

Besides being a dedicated Hungarian representative of electric mobility and sustainability, he considers it highly important to let more and more Hungarian engineers prove that it's possible to produce products that have scientific value not just in Hungary, but also internationally.

The Dénes Gábor Award was established by the Novofer Foundation in 1989. The bronze plaque – which is decorated with a holographic image of Dénes Gábor – is awarded to professionals with outstanding scientific or intellectual creations, thus promoting environmental preservation and technological development. Just like it has been done for the last ten years, the award ceremony took place again in the Parliament building on December 17.
