With universal, or inclusive design the designer creates aesthetic products and services for as many people as possible, regardless of age, ability, or status in life. In vehicle manufacturing universal design contains solutions that make the vehicles usable for people with disabilities, too. The Modulo bus family – designed by the engineers of evopro – keeps these considerations in mind: it's mostly low-floor, and it has a proprietary semi-automatic ramp that supports wheelchair access to the bus.

The Universal Design and Information Center created by the Budapest Association of Disabled People has examined the interior space of a given bus with a test group consisting of various types of wheelchairs and with different turning radii as part of its research project related to bus development.
