Evopro Ltd. has replaced the outdated APACS+-InTouch DCS system of the Columbian Tiszai Carbon Ltd. at its soot plant in Tiszaújváros with a modern PCS7 process control system. The switch was accomplished without stopping the existing manufacturing line thanks to the parallel introduction of the existing and the new system. The Moore PLCs controlling the process control system have remained in service, but the display system was switched out to PCS7 OS clients and servers. The system manufacturer, Siemens is offering intelligent solutions to give new foundations to old software.
