The engineers of evopro have played a significant role at the biggest Hungarian conference of control technology.
The Research Institute of Applied Earth Sciences of the University of Miskolc hosted the 18th Meeting of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) at Lillafüred between October 24. and 26. The three-day international conference was attended by 250 professionals and researchers representing over 100 companies and institutions.
The focus of the conference was to present new results and applications related to various testing methods and safety systems in the area of computerized control systems. A professional delegation from the Industrial Solutions branch represented Evopro Ltd. at the conference with several presentations.
Sándor Elek, the director of the branch has presided over the “New products and technologies” session as chairman and he also gave a presentation about the process of technical preparations prior to proposals, reflecting on expected investment trends in 2013.
On the second day of the conference Miklós Boros and István Burik gave a presentation about applications of industrial process control systems at concrete factories with PCS7. In the “DCS Applications” session the attendees have heard a presentation by János Vámosi about EPICS based control systems. In the “Profibus” section István Jobbágy gave a presentation about redundant Profibus DP functions. His hands-on demonstration was illustrated by a model featuring the functions and operations of a PCS7 system, which was also put on display for the attendees during the entire length of the conference.
